So i came up with the original idea to make a best of 2009 blog post! Which ended up in a really funny trip trough the photos i’ve taken this year at all kind of places i’ve been to. I almost forgot about how trippy some commissions were, how many flights and trains i’ve seen and how i met some new people and blabla…

because a special friend of mine (who is also featured in this entry with the performance art award 2009) bitched about the size of the images in my blog, i’ve made almost all the photos 950px wide instead of 800.. so you can enjoy the images with more visible detail!

this entry is dedicated to all my readers (friends, family, photographers, journalists, collegues, stalkers, weirdos, drug addicts, barak obama, harry potter and the last unicorn > i especially hope you enjoy it darling!)

3,2,1 – enjoy!

  1. welch ein jahr! frohes neues.

  8. Awesome – so many photos no point picking any out, they are all excellent. The boring poker tournament photos made me laugh hard.

  11. Hi, I’ve been looking through your photographs over the last few days and I feel that your work is incredibly beautiful and inspiring. For what it’s worth, it has made me want to get outside and make more photographs, which I have not been doing enough lately. Thanks for sharing your stuff with everyone!

  14. I’ve been reading your blog even before the .at one and have found it to be a great, great read. Call me a stalker or a unicorn, but I really do admire (in a non gay way) your skill and commitment to the craft. 2009 looked to be a great year for you and 2010 can only be better. Happy New Year, friend, and Cheers!

  15. Hi Severin,

I just wanted to congratulate you on this epic and amazing blog post. I’m surprised it didn’t take a year to put together!!

Your photos are simply stunning, and I love the way you’ve written about your travels and experiences too.

Someone asked me the other day who my favourite photographers were, and, among others, just out of the blue, your name popped up. I hadn’t really thought about it, but giving it a bit more thought, it’s true. I just love your work!! Keep it up, and I hope 2010 brings you lots of success, and another awesome blog post at the end of it for us to enjoy!! :)

    Happy New Year,

  21. You know what, I can’t stress enough – that you are everything a photographer should be, Sev. And what’s bullshit about this post is that it’s an effortlessly tiny fraction of the quality material you’ve produced. I have alot of respect for you, man.

  34. it took me two days to go through this post, i do not think i’ve ever bothered putting so much time on a photoblog post, usually start scrolling slowly and then spin the mouse wheel through the rest.. but not this post. Bastard! I cannot believe the wedding photo, you nailed the pigeon big time.. i can comment on almost every other photo.. always great to check out your work.. i want to learn from the best, and you’re one of the bestest.. in realized from this post that i have been to several places that you’ve been to this year, would be ironic if that was at the same time too though.. would love to meet you and shake you hand one day. cheers and i wish you a powerful 2010.
