First some promotion:

Will have my third Workshop with Chris Weeks. Our ‘Street is Serious’ will happen in New York on the 22nd and 23rd of October. Interested? Mail me or to streetisserious@gmail.com

So the last post has been long ago.. I’ve shot a lot (surprise) but I can’t post it all.. so I tried to reduce it but still keep the stories in there I wanted to tell. Shot a wedding solely on film which was a nice experience (not sharing this in that blog though, since it’s just too much to add here. If you want to see some shots, mail me). Been to Italy with my father. Seen a lot, ate a lot.. but stayed most time in the car. Hope there will be a next time where I can shoot more in Rome or Napels. Also not sharing everything from that trip in this post, because it will be simply too much and I don’t feel like mixing digital and film too much either.

Enough text. Here some images. Starting with some leftovers from Berlin.

  12. I love the oh, I remember the times.. picture. Really captured an awesome one there man. I shoot HP5 Almost all the time. I noticed the differences now from your Tri X, perhaps more contrasty.

  13. since I don’t really care the myth of decisive moment & my preferences shift more into mood and personality than to action – I love 32590, MF3851, MF3841 (he looks so deliciously bored and uninspired! :), 32748 (this man is a living Balzac’ character!). I also love 33206, athough it may seem cliche at first. But the contrast between the gloominess of the foreground and the brightness of what mirroor frames is pretty neat. The following picture emphasizes the impression of, well, a haunted place maybe? ;) 32835 is priceless, cheers

  21. Hi Severin,
Italy isn’t my cup of tea. But when you capture it…it is!
The velvia colour explosion in the middle section makes it even more powerfull. It’s a magicaly film.
