hello everyone !

it’s been a while. I’ve been traveling and in between had some comissions, so there was no time for posting a blog entry. In the end i had to develope and scan many rolls, go through gigabytes of raws… and then select the images, which might have been work of 20hours for this blog entry.

people asked about hannover. well, to be honest, it’s a great place to study and probably the only place to study photojournalism at this level. i don’t have much criticism about the school itself but i feel like 4 years of studying is too much for me. I’m not going to attend to this college because i don’t feel that i can still learn so much that i can take a break from professional photography for 4 years.

A few years ago this would have been the perfect place to be. In the end, i’ll keep following my way of learning by doing because it worked out so far. It’s true that you don’t need to “learn” any artform… but it’s also true that there is nothing wrong with it. In general there are many ways to reach your aims, some chose the self-taught way, others the academic one, this world needs both to work. I was, i am and always will be self-taught when it comes to photography.

Now have fun with this entry, featuring about 300 photographs and some little stories of my travels!

  1. Stunning shots, as always. I particularly like the lighting in a few. It seems you met some great people on your travels! You’re fortunate to have such good karma :D That bus driver is a legend. About school; just keep doing your art your way. Don’t let people change your style! Please keep the shots coming :D

  2. Reading that was half an hour well spent! Even if I am going to be late for my next appointment :)

Stansted is always like that during the night. This = LOL, though. http://severinkoller.at/blog/wp-content/gallery/berlin_birmingham26/_MG_3209.jpg

  14. Unglaubliche Fotos…. arg.
