  2. man i wish i could be there! i need to make some more trips to LA to keep learnin’

chinatown is really fun, and i had never tried shooting hollywood blvd at night, but it looked much more ‘nightlife’ busy than it does in the daytime where its ‘touristy’

hope you come back to LA soon!

  15. That took long to go through but was worth every minute. Too many good shots to start picking any particular, really. One of your best entries if not the best.

    I envy you ;)

  16. die blogs sind echt n bischen wie n film. finde die bilder sehr gelungen. das 24/1.4 ist echt krass, sieht durch die offene blende gar nicht nach weitwinkel aus. kann es kaum erwarten den nächsten blog zu sehen :)

  19. amazing photos man- i’ve always loved your work and finally commented!

i’ve gotta say that i’m really happy that you post your work, it’s very inspiring and i’m always looking forward to the next entry. i am actually looking in to buying a rangefinder in september and have you and chris to thank. i’ve always loved shooting film but i think a rangefinder is a good next step to building my equipment for what i’d like to shoot!

i can’t wait to see what you two did together as a team- must be really cool shit!

looking forward to the next post!

  20. A classic series. I enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you. Your classic style comes out and is at its best with your RF gear.

Keep with the B&W shots… love them!!!!

  21. very nice stuff from US. welcome to the other world. what cought my attention is a comment on a couple staying, smilling, and waiting for you to take a shot after fiddling a camera for 15 seconds. that’s the nice part of the US. people are very nice but when you stay longer and have a chance to get into the other social realms besides the “working middle class”, things change.

tip: new orleans is worth a photo trip too. insane place

    again, nice stuff. enjoyed it

  25. Fantastic photographs as usual man, some real gems here. Your street continues to inspire me – I’ll have them in mind when I get my M6 in a few weeks.

Will your and Chris’ video be available commercially? Hope it’s a documentary on making street photographs, that’d be ace!

  26. Wow…. amazing shots. I can’t believe how many there are. You have a really rare talent for this. My favourite shot is the one of ‘Jesus’ watching the arrest while he’s drinking some coffee. Classic!

    Best wishes,

  27. Wow, after going through half of this big-and-full-of-awesomess post I realized that that you were hanging out with Chris Weeks whose shots I really enjoyed some time ago (and who still owe me a print from his little “1 million pageviews contest” on deviantart about 1,5 year ago , hehe).

    Well, global village.
