I don’t mind if generation Instagram isn’t used to long blogs anymore. My work isn’t about a single eye-catching unsubstantial photograph after another. I don’t care about “less is more”.. I get to hear it all the time as a photographer. Sometimes more is more -  my blog, my rules.

If you arrived here, try to keep in mind that like any other entry in my blog, this is all shot on film, so no digital photography – it’s analog and not just because I think it’s cool and fun, because I can handle it.. (not the only one out there, but a rare breed these days). The black and white you see is not a conversion and the colors you see are no post production filters – what you see is the non-cropped documentary of my world. This entry sums up almost four months of personal photography. Developing, scanning, resizing and posting this entry is an amount of work, most people don’t even relate to photography and blogging nowadays because all they do is take an iPhone snap, crop and edit it through Instagram and post it and watch the likes go up. So all I am asking you is to take your time if you’re here or if you don’t have it, come back when you have it if you care. Thank you and enjoy responsibly.

whoever made it till the end. congratulations and thank you for your time! I promise, the next one will be just as long, because I’m a sick bastard.

  1. I literally popped a bottle of vine. Sat down and really enjoyed this. Whenever you post it’s like a piece of Christmas :) thank you! Eagerly waiting the next one.

  3. Bloody fantastic work! I appreciate the work it must take to produce work like that.

    BTW – the guy in http://severinkoller.at/blog/wp-content/gallery/wien_herbst_6/Img56707s.jpg -

I’ve photographed him too (at least I’m pretty sure its the same guy):

Athens Central Market is one of my favorite places to shoot.

  15. Sev,

Keep’em coming. Just wanted to drop a note of encouragement.
The faithful appreciate the work and the effort. Everything about it is awesome and refreshing.
You were badass when you first started posting in 2008 and even more so now. :)
Always a treat to check and see a new post.

  16. Comments are not my thing, I’m a lurker, that’s why I’ve never understood Facebook, Twitter and Instgram, and they’ve never understood me neither. But I must leave a comment here – on your blog (blog, 2016, wtf), one that keeps inspiring and brings me goosebumps whenever new post appears in my RSS client (RSS, 2016, srsly?). I want to believe that you appreciate getting feedback since you have comments turned on, but in worst case scenario there will always be my name down here – and 10 or 20 years from now I’d like to see what I appreciated as a unsure 25 year old. F*ck it, I just don’t see myself in a 9 to 5 job I’ve been studying and training for last seven years.
Sorry for sentimental crap, it just is.

  17. Hey Sev,

  18. Dear Sev – Yes, more is more (sometimes) – so many wonderful shots in this post. You are the “Foto Poet of Vienna” for sure. And, I urge you to keep playing with color, the color images are very, very strong too – DANKE!

  19. Ich hab’s vermisst. Schoen, in der Wiener und Severiner Welt herumzustaksen. And as I can see still arrogant, but justifiably so ;-)
